Yep ..the gears were for a boeing engine test. Not sure what since they were straight involutes and not helical. But I never took a jet engine apart either.

BTW: Thanks...needs more work but just trying things out.

Ahhh....so its not strictly a 'moderator' forum. Its just a place you send toby when he misbehaves...like a bold child in school! Its ok, I think I'd rather leave him in the corner alone!

here is what i have so far on a design. I need to figure out how to make the eliptical hole for the set screws to be able to move to the certain degrees. and then i need to figure out the tooth profiles, and last i need to figure out the inner profile. Then i will select all and ungroup, and delete all lines not needed. any help on the above topics would be appreciated.
